Crop PDF Pages
Trim uniform margins, or let the tool find the real content area on each page and cut the dead white space away.
Cropping is most often needed after a scan: the page was placed slightly off-centre on the glass, so a grey strip of scanner bed runs down one edge, and the printed content sits inside a wide white border. Cutting that away makes the document easier to read on a phone and smaller to print.
Two modes cover nearly every case. Uniform margins shaved off all four sides is right when you know the geometry. Automatic detection renders each page, finds the bounding box of everything that is not white, and crops to that box plus the padding you choose — each page gets its own crop, which handles badly centred scans.
How to crop pdf pages
- Add your PDFDrop the document whose margins you want to trim.
- Choose a modeSet uniform margins in millimetres, or switch on automatic detection to let each page find its own content box.
- Adjust paddingAutomatic mode keeps a safety padding around the detected content so nothing important is clipped.
- Crop and downloadThe crop box is written locally; the page is not re-rendered, so the remaining content stays pixel-identical.
